Most of these diets also required dieters to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Generally, each of the plans in the top ten diets that work, encouraged extra water consumption as well. These rapid weight loss diets also eliminate salt, another factor in causing fluid retention. 2) Exercise Is Strongly Encouraged A factor in rapid weight loss is increasing metabolism.
